Miconazole is used topically:
in fungal skin infections (ringworm of the scalp, trunk, hands, feet and between the toes, armpits, groin);
in mixed fungal and bacterial infections.
Hypersensitivity to miconazole or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1.
Do not use the product for the treatment of fungal infections of the hairy scalp, nails, mucous membranes or on wounded skin.
Miconazole spray is for topical use on the skin only.
If symptoms of hypersensitivity or local irritation occur discontinue use of Miconal should be discontinued.
Protect the eyes from the spray, and do not inhale.
Apply topically to the affected skin area, usually twice daily.
Shake the container vigorously before each use.
Duration of treatment
Once all symptoms and lesions have resolved, treatment should still be continued for at least 1 week.
